Lifting stations
WHO PROTECTS YOU AGAINST BACKWATER?
If drainage objects are installed in the basement and these should be both backflow-proof and usable in the event of a backflow from the public sewer, lifting systems are the first choice. DIN EN 12056-4 is to be applied as the relevant regulation within the framework of building drainage. According to this, lifting stations convey the waste water via a backflow loop above the backflow level (usually street level) into the public sewer system.
Backwater protection is definitely a case for professionals. Contact your plumber.
